Brinewater Tide Weekly Injury Report: A Clinical Assessment of Chaos

Three players down, morale underwater, medical staff questioning their career choices.

The Brinewater Tide Medical Department released its weekly injury assessment on Tuesday, cataloging what can only be described as a systematic unraveling of roster health. Head Athletic Trainer Dr. Marcus Webb presented the findings with the hollow gaze of someone who has seen things.

Quarterback Devon Strickland suffered a Grade 2 anterior cruciate ligament sprain during third-quarter pocket mobility drills. The mechanism of injury involved a stationary blocking dummy that Strickland swears "made eye contact" before the collision. Video review is inconclusive.

Wide Receiver Taj Morrison reported acute compartment syndrome in his left forearm, allegedly triggered by "scrolling TikTok too aggressively" during film review. Team physicians have since banned all personal devices from the training facility. Morrison is currently scheduled for fasciotomy evaluation and mandatory digital detox.

Defensive End Kyle Hutchins presented with what medical staff initially diagnosed as a grade three hamstring tear. Upon further investigation, Hutchins admitted he was actually trying to recreate a viral dance trend in the locker room at 2 AM and "just sort of gave up on his left leg halfway through." An MRI revealed the hamstring is technically fine, but his confidence is in critical condition.

Backup linebacker Chester "Chet" Donovan checked into the medical tent complaining of "a vibration he can feel in his bones." After extensive neurological testing, blood work, and a full CT scan, Dr. Webb concluded that Donovan had simply forgotten to remove his phone from his pocket during practice. The vibrations were incoming text messages. He will likely play Sunday.

The Brinewater Tide medical staff is accepting applications.
