Murkmoor Grinds Crestfall Into Absolute Dust Storm

In what can only be described as a clinic in highway robbery disguised as football, the Murkmoor Engines absolutely obliterated the Crestfall Collective 49-35 on Thursday night, leaving Collective fans reaching for their unlisted therapists' emergency numbers.

The Engines came out swinging like a drunk uncle at Thanksgiving, establishing dominance through sheer brute force and what appeared to be a collective agreement among Crestfall's defensive line to simply give up. Murkmoor's ground game was so suffocating that by halftime, Crestfall's run defense had filed for unemployment. Running back 4-K.WALKER absolutely demolished everyone in a 12-yard radius, averaging 5.2 yards per carry while occasionally doing that thing where he'd just truck stick through a defender's existential crisis.

Meanwhile, quarterback 8-L.JACKSON conducted what could generously be called a symphony of confusion orchestrated by pure luck. His 49-yard bomb to 7-R.BATEMAN on a deep right route was the kind of pass that makes you wonder if the receiver was just really tall or if Crestfall's secondary had collectively decided to rearrange their souls. The ball hung in the air like a wounded duck contemplating its life choices before landing softly in Bateman's hands for a touchdown that drew more applause for the geometry involved than the actual athleticism.

Crestfall tried—bless their hearts, they genuinely tried. Quarterback 6-B.MAYFIELD was slinging the football around like he'd never heard of field position or consequence, racking up 378 passing yards through sheer volume. His 25-yard dime to 13-M.EVANS was a gorgeous spiral that temporarily distracted from the fact that Murkmoor's pass rush was living rent-free in his backfield. Wide receiver 9-T.HILL caught everything thrown vaguely in his direction, accumulating receiving yards the way some people accumulate regrets.

The absurdity truly peaked when Murkmoor scored their fifth touchdown on what can only be described as a coaching decision that violated the Geneva Convention. On third-and-24, with eight minutes remaining and the game effectively over, the Engines called a reverse flea flicker that somehow worked, because apparently reality just doesn't apply to Murkmoor this season. The Collective defense looked like they were trying to solve a math equation while simultaneously being suplexed.

Special teams contributed absolutely nothing memorable, which feels almost disrespectful to the concept of special teams. The kickers just did kicker things. Nobody fell down. Nobody cried. It was thoroughly unremarkable in a game where remarkability was otherwise abundant.

By the fourth quarter, the only drama was watching which desperate Crestfall fan in attendance would be the first to storm the field and demand answers.

8-L.JACKSON launches a 49-yard bomb deep right, threading it through three defenders' prayers and into 7-R.BATEMAN's chest for touchdown. Ball physics violated.

IMPACT 9/10

6-B.MAYFIELD somehow completes 25-yard spiral to 13-M.EVANS while being aggressively reminded he has a torso, but Murkmoor already up 31-14 so it doesn't matter spiritually.

IMPACT 6/10

Murkmoor's head coach was seen eating a post-game interview whole, and Crestfall's medical staff requested hazard pay for merely being on the same field.
